We’re returning as headline sponsors of Salcombe Crabfest

We’re thrilled to say that Marchand Petit will again support the Salcombe Crabfest as headline sponsor. Returning on Sunday 30 April for a sixth year, the delicious event shines a light on the local fishing industry, celebrating the region’s famous brown crab and raising money for deserving local charities.

Salcombe Crabfest has raised over £50,000 since the festival began and a team of dedicated volunteers from The Rotary Club of Salcombe will this year be raising funds for three key organisations: Chill South Devon, Devon Mind and the Devon Air Ambulance.

Charlie Heath, manager of Marchand Petit Salcombe, said: “Once again, we are delighted to be supporting what has fast become a Salcombe spring tradition and always a great start to the season. As one of the main sponsors of Salcombe Crabfest, it has been our privilege and pleasure to see the event grow over the past few years, from a few stalls down Island Street to taking over the boat park and being packed wall-to-wall with visitors from afar and locals from all over the South Hams.”

He continued: “We will be there bright and breezy as usual to welcome all the Crabfest guests with a glass of fizz, and will no doubt be enjoying a few glasses ourselves, along with sampling all the delicious food that is on offer from the various stalls and restaurants.”

Event organiser, Nick Brodie, said: “We are so excited for Salcombe Crabfest 2023. It is such a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Salcombe’s thriving industries, and to raise much needed funds for good caused. This year, we are delighted to be supporting two mental health charities, who do incredible work to help people locally in need of support. Devon Air Ambulance is also an essential and hugely worthwhile cause – we are proud to be donating some of the money raised this year to them too.”

We look forward to seeing you at Salcombe Crabfest 2023!
