Dartmouth office partnership with Candlelit Opera

When it comes to celebrations the historical Naval town of Dartmouth is renowned for putting on a good show and guaranteeing a good time for all the family.  They are experts in organising and running festive events and to celebrate the start of Yuletide, Christmas started in style last week at Candlelit Dartmouth.

The audience at The Favel were listening in delight, as The Little Opera Company returned to the theatre for an evening of opera favourites and candlelit arias.

Daryl Whitehead, the newly appointed Programme Manager at the Flavel commented: “The Little Opera Company bring a festive fizz to start off our Christmas programme with their highly entertaining, fun-filled show.  They are one of the most exciting young opera groups to emerge onto the classical music scene in recent years.  They are always a great hit at The Flavel.”

The talented company comprise two sopranos Celena Bridge and Victoria Stanyon, pianist Nicola Rose, baritone Richard Immergluck and tenor Joe Morgan who as soloist have worked for Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Opera North, English Touring Opera and English National Opera.

The evening's programme was supported by leading independent Estate Agents Marchand Petit and Kirsty Cook, Residential Sales Manager of their Dartmouth office, commented: “We are delighted to join forces with Daryl at the Flavel as it is such an important arts and entertainment venue, including a cinema, theatre and facilities for courses, workshops and dinning. What a lovely way to start Christmas with such uplifting live music, including arias from La Boheme, The Mikado, Carmen and my favourite, Sondheim’s ‘Into the Woods’”.
