Celebrating Hello Kingsbridge

Many people have admired the iconic building with its clock tower and many more, visitors and locals alike, have been helped out by the Kingsbridge Information Centre. Located on the picturesque Quay in the heart of Kingsbridge.

There was cause for celebration this month when Samantha Dennis, Director, invited guests and local businesses to an evening event to celebrate the launch of their new website www.hellokingsbridge.co.uk

The party filled the building and provided a great opportunity for networking and lively conversation.  Companies, activity providers, independent firms, food producers, local artists and colleagues from the area could see how their businesses where presented on the new website.

Samantha, who has also been the Manager responsible for the Kingsbridge Information centre for five years, explained how the business has grown and expanded, commenting: “Thanks to some very generous local businessmen with an incredible amount of foresight, we have this fantastic building, purpose built in 1994 and centrally located.”

She went on to thank the amazing group of volunteers that work six days a week keeping the Centre open, from 9am – 5pm.  Their contribution has afforded the financial security, stability and growth of the annual destination guide.

Working closely with Left Bridge and Kingfisher Print in Totnes, 50,000 copies of the highly praised guide are in circulation.

“We won’t stop here, we want to beat our Bronze ranking last year and achieve a Gold at the Devon Tourism Awards,” Samantha went on to add.  “For the first time, we have a website that matches the guide.”

Tanya Bedford from Marchand Petit observed: “Visitors looking to come to the area will see a strong brand whether they visit the website, pick up a guide or drop into the Information Centre, benefitting both local businesses and visitors.”

Guests enjoyed Prosecco and canapes and all were impressed with the range and diversity of products and merchandise available to buy in the Information Centre, from children’s party bag ideas to local scenic prints.
