Artfully selling houses

Marchand Petit are well known for their support of local community activities, especially concentrated around their six well-placed South Hams offices and always delight in working with local companies and individuals. A recent collaboration brought a ray of sunshine and colour to the Newton Ferrers office, to be enjoyed by recipients in their area.

Jackie Gale, the award-winning textile artist, supplied three examples of her fabulous artwork to adorn their Valuation Week Invitations.

Prunella Martin, Director of Marchand Petit’s Prime Waterfront & Country House Department, commented: “Fabric is Jackie’s paint and her flair and expression comes from working into each individual hand crafted design - vintage fabrics, shells, lace, leather and items that give historic reference and authenticity to each beautiful, textural piece.  Her collections include ‘Best of Britain’, ‘Coastals’ and of course ‘Devon and Cornwall’ which is pertinent to our valuation week in the western region of the South Hams.”

Claire Northmore, Branch Manager Newton Ferrers added:

“We chose the artwork used, which includes a limited edition of Wembury, Popes Quay in Noss Mayo and Priscilla the cow, another limited edition art print.  One house buyer said she wished she owned a property in each location so she could collect all three, it was like receiving a gift.”

Marchand Petit sell properties across all sectors of the market, from waterside studios, cottages to estates and equestrian and countryside residences. Jackie Gale will be exhibiting at the Country Living, London Spring Fair at Alexandra Palace, 26-29 April 2018.
