Hannah Carter

I joined the Marchand Petit team in 2024, bringing a diverse skill set from my career in marketing, administration, management and HR, all of which I apply to efficiently administer a busy office in Salcombe. Having grown up in the South Hams and spent 10 years living abroad in Slovenia, I returned to the area so that my daughter could experience the same countryside lifestyle I cherish.

I balance my professional responsibilities with a deep passion for animal care, nature and swimming in the sea. At home, I care for a menagerie of animals, including two rescue ponies from the Mare and Foal Sanctuary, a rescue cat and my German Terrier, Lena. Living near Slapton Sands, I make it a point to wild swim at least once a month throughout the year - no matter how challenging the conditions may be.

Outside of work, I am studying herbology and enjoy foraging for wild food. My love for nature extends to collecting mushroom memorabilia and old herbal remedy books, hobbies that enhance my connection with nature and my life in the South Hams.
